Daytona by the numbers...
After well more than a month of prepping for two different races at the same track, I'm sure most drivers are happy to say goodbye to Daytona. But you gotta admit, The 500 was a race week to remember.
Some stats:
* Over 50,000 laps were laid down in official practice sessions.
* 337 drivers took the green flag
* 11 Splits
* 6.7 cautions averaged per race
* 76% of the field was running at the end of the race (233 cars)
And most importantly.... four Pro Split winners!
International - John King / Kinetic European - Eric Micke / Bombshell Motorsports Atlantic - Devin Serra / Off Camber Racing Pacific - Blake Reynolds / Ridin' Shotgun
This was the biggest and most successful round in the history of the Majors Series. Congrats to all!
You can commemorate the week by taking home a poster or a tee shirt from the store.
